Pamela Yunga is a doctoral prepared, licensed, and dual board-certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She received her Doctor of Nursing Practice in Psychiatric Mental Health from Brandman University, Irvine, California. She received a Masters of Science as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from California State University, Los Angeles, and a Bachelor of Science in nursing from California State University, Dominguez Hills. Dr. Yunga is part of the Sigma Theta Tau nursing honor society, the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN), and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She provides virtual/telepsychiatry services through a secure and HIPAA compliant video conference platform.
Dr. Yunga uses an evidence-based, holistic, and alternative medicine approach to address each patient’s mental health needs and concerns. She adheres to nursing values, ethics, standards, and laws when providing holistic and patient-centered care. Dr. Yunga has greater than 12 years of experience in various specialty areas, including; inpatient and outpatient psychiatry and mental health, critical care, surgery, and gynecology oncology. She received her training and board certification to treat patients across the lifespan with mental health disorders, including; ADHD, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder, schizophrenia, autism, and other mental health issues. She is astute, compassionate, empathetic, knowledgeable, and a good listener. She works collaboratively to formulate treatment plans to address each patient-specific needs.
